As home educating parents and carers, you are constantly thinking about different ways to talk to your child about their learning. You understand how they learn and what their interests and strengths are.

Having constructive conversations with your child about the different training and educational next steps available to them will help your child to make informed and constructive decisions for their future. There is so much information out there that it can be challenging to find the ‘what’s right’ for your child.

Home Education Futures has a variety of information available at your fingertips to enable you to support your child to consider the ‘what’s next’. This can be exciting but also daunting for both parent and child but with the right information and support available, we hope that we can make this a little bit easier.

The new Young Professional Home Education Programme is a series of free online courses designed to help young people in home education explore skills and careers. These courses don’t assume you are studying in school, or studying for set subjects or qualifications, or studying for a certain number of hours a day.  They don’t expect you to fit into a box. Explore careers you might enjoy, discover your strengths, get a feel for possible future steps you can take, and see ways to grow your life skills at home and beyond.

Griffin Club For Home Educating Children/Young People

Griffin Club is an education project based in the beautiful Wiltshire countryside near Lacock. We currently provide 3 days of skills-based and creative learning on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays for 10-14 year olds that are registered as home educated. Our new purpose built building offers a great space where children meet, discuss and brainstorm their ideas and make things happen. We offer educational courses and activities with experienced Mentors across a broad range of subject areas. Over time we hope to offer more flexible learning opportunities for after school, holidays and weekend activities, as well as additional activities for home-educated children. for cost and further information, please contact the Griffin Club.
